Join one of our Skye Munros Courses for an exhilarating 4-day adventure, conquering all 11 Munros of the legendary Black Cuillin Ridge on the Isle of Skye. This personalised course is designed to build your confidence and skills on scrambling terrain, helping you easily navigate the ridge’s more technical and exposed sections with our expert, qualified and experienced Cuillin guides.

Example Itinerary
Day One (The Southern Munros)
Munro Summits: Sgurr nan Eag, Sgurr Dubh Mhor, Sgurr Alasdair
Today’s adventure takes us to the southernmost Munros of Skye’s Black Cuillin Ridge. Beginning at the scenic Glen Brittle Campsite, we’ll venture into the dramatic landscape of Coire Ghrunnda. A short, exhilarating scramble will lead you to the Cuillin Ridge crest, where we'll quickly detour to summit Sgurr nan Eag, our first Munro. From here, soak in panoramic views of Skye and the Cuillin Range.
Your Skye Guide will expertly lead you through the intricate, technical terrain along the ridge, guiding you to the next summit, Sgurr Dubh Mor—an exciting Munro to tackle safely with professional support. The high point of our journey is reaching Sgurr Alasdair, the highest Munro on Skye, with sweeping views over Skye, the Scottish mainland, and even the Outer Hebrides. We’ll finish the day by descending the impressive Great Stone Chute into Corrie Laggan, a breathtaking area with remarkable geology.
Day Two (The Southern Central Munros)
Munro Summits: Sgurr na Banachdich, Inaccessible Pinnacle, Sgurr Mhic Choinnich
Today we'll the Skye Munros Course from Glen Brittle YHA, heading up to the iconic Black Cuillin Ridge. Our first objective is Sgurr na Banachdich, the central Munro on the ridge, where panoramic views await in every direction. With our experienced Skye Guide, we’ll journey south to tackle the legendary Inaccessible Pinnacle on Sgurr Dearg—the only Munro requiring climbing skills. Here, your Cuillin Guide will provide expert coaching to safely reach the summit. After savouring the achievement, enjoy an exhilarating abseil down the west face.
Our adventure continues with a short journey to Sgurr Mhic Choinnich, a thrilling Munro involving technical scrambling in a breathtaking position on the ridge. We'll end the day with a scree descent via An Stac Screes into Corrie Laggan, making our way back to Glen Brittle.
Day Three (The Central Munros)
Munro Summits: Sgurr a' Mhadaidh & Sgurr a' Ghreadaidh
Today’s section of the Skye Munros Course covers the dramatic central Cuillin range. Starting in Coire a' Ghreadaidh, we’ll make our way toward An Dorus. Here, under the guidance of an experienced Northwest Mountaineering Skye Guide, we’ll rope up for some challenging sections, firstly scrambling toward the Munro summit of Sgurr a' Mhadaidh.
After reaching the summit, we’ll retrace our steps to the col, then head up the opposite side to follow the ridge south to Sgurr a' Ghreadaidh. From this small but rewarding summit, we’ll take in the fantastic panoramic views before returning to An Dorus and back towards Glen Brittle once again.
Day Four (The Northern Munros)
Munro Summits: Sgurr nan Gillian, Am Bastier, Bruic na Frithe
Starting from the Sligachan Hotel, this day of the Skye Munros Course takes us into the northern Cuillin range. We’ll begin our ascent into Coire a' Bhasteir toward the col, where we’ll leave our rucksacks before tackling Sgurr nan Gillean. Your Northwest Mountaineering Cuillin Guide will lead you through exciting ridge scrambles, including the famous "Pinnacles" and “Window,” as we make our way to the Munro summit.
After retracing our steps to the col, we’ll add an exciting abseil and continue toward Am Basteir, tackling the challenging “Bad Step” with guidance on hand and footholds. From here, it’s just a short ascent to the summit of Bruach na Frithealong the side of “the Tooth,” providing a satisfying end to this Cuillin adventure, with fantastic views south towards the Cuillin ridge and all of its Munro summits.
Day Five (Bla Bheinn) (This Day is an Extra Add On)
Munro Summit: Bla Bheinn
Bla Bheinn, the final Munro on the Isle of Skye, offers unbeatable views across to the Black Cuillin. For this Skye Munros Course, our Northwest Mountaineering Skye Guide will lead you up to this majestic summit by one of several routes. The easier ascent is from Loch Slapin on its eastern side, but for a more thrilling approach, the Clach Glas-Bla Bheinn Traverse rivals anything on the Black Cuillin Ridge.
This route offers challenging technical scrambling and easy climbing, making the final Skye Munro an unforgettable achievement.
Cost for Bla Bheinn: £330 (Private) or £165 (Open Course)

The course cost is £660 per person, with a minimum and maximum of two people required. Northwest Mountaineering also offers private guiding for the Skye Cuillin Munros, starting at £330 per day at a 1:2 ratio. Course Length
Our Skye Munros course is 4 days. We offer bespoke & open courses and run these in the Isle of Skye from April until October.

Cost
The course cost is £660 per person, with a minimum and maximum of two people required. Northwest Mountaineering also offers a private 1:1 Course at £1320
