Length

Guided days to the summit of Ben Nevis can vary in difficulty and length, but most don't exceed 10 hours and are often between 6 - 8 hours.

Cost

Guided days on and to the summit of Ben Nevis can vary in cost depending on the type of activity. Walking days start at £100 per person in summer. CMD Arete days start at £260 and technical climbing starts from £320.

Experience Needed

Reaching the summit demands a solid level of fitness, ideally supported by prior hillwalking preparation. Routes like Tower Ridge and Ledge Route are technical, so prior mountaineering or climbing experience is highly recommended. Tackling the CMD Arete also requires confidence with exposure and a good head for heights.
